show Abstracthide AbstractShotgun genome sequencing was performed on strains Roseovarius sp. 4SM10, Roseovarius aestuarii CECT 7745 and Roseovarius nubinhibens CECT 7750 to support the description of Roseovarius sp. 4SM10 as a novel species (Roseovarius albus). Subsequent assembly produced 3.93 Mb (1934 contigs) for strain 4SM10, 0.51 Mb (921 contigs) for R. aestuarii CECT 7745 and 0.45 Mb (735 contigs) for R. nubinhibens CECT 7750. Analysis of assembled data on JSpecies (Richter and Rossello-Mora 2009) yielded low ANI values (ANIb 72.78–77.03 % and ANIm 86.31–88.07 %) in all cases, clearly indicating each of the three strains belongs to a separate genomic species.
